Gas stove that glows in the dark.

Balance in life? Or burn brightly.

Balance in life?

These days we want to have it all: we want to be good at our jobs, be healthy, have cool friends, have a strong family - these are things that many of us want. But rarely do we get it.

Why is it so hard to have it all?

Living in balance is an illusion.
There's a cool four-burner theory.

Now comes the uncompromising info.

Let's imagine a kitchen stove with burners. There are four main burners in life.

We also realize that we have a power limit. Let's say we have 100% gas.

Let's imagine that balance.

In that case, none of the burners will burn confidently and strongly. They burn 25% of the total supply each.

If we want to boost one of the burners, the others will get less power.

The main idea behind this theory is that in order to succeed in one direction - we need to cut off the energy consumption of one of the burners. And in order to really become successful in one of the directions - it is necessary to remove two burners at once.

It is clear that “success” is a rather subjective definition for each person.
But when you look closer, you will notice that there is no balance in success.

Our “excellent student from the first desk” Ilon Musk himself says that he works at least 100 hours a week. Let me remind you that there are only 168 hours in a week, of which 56 are 8 hours of sleep per second)

So the next time you see someone has a cool car, or a strong happy family, you better think about what the person sacrificed to have it. And I will tell you that few people will take out what those people will take out in order to achieve what they want.

What's good for some is bad for others.

This is an example of what its distribution looks like:

Yes, that's the truth of it. I've said many times that everyone has their own priorities and goals in life. Someone chooses career, someone chooses sports, someone chooses family, etc.

I also do not agree that there is a direct need to turn off the consumption of one of the burners completely.

It is better that it burns at 5-7% of power, because to light it from zero you will have to sacrifice a lot the other burners in the moment. Which will create problems in other areas.

The balance problem is that you will not succeed in anything by distributing power equally everywhere.

The basis of this theory is that it teaches us one thing: “every decision we make has a cost”.

Should I go out with friends, or should I go to work? Go on a date, or read a book? Go smoke a hookah, or go to the gym? Spend money on a car, or on a business?

Simply put, by making a choice in favor of something, you sacrifice something else. Every choice has a price, see?

I hate to hear that, I understand. But we all have limited time and energy.

You have the choice to live in balance but never really succeed at any one thing, or to live in imbalance sacrificing something for one topic.

The trick is that the choice is dynamic at all times and for everyone. Some choose between studying and partying, and some choose between studying and family, or work.

To clean the house, or to watch a movie? Or do housecleaning, or work?

Different ages and conditions will have different priorities and trad options.

What is the main idea of all this?

Put your energy in those directions and look for those options of trading your time in which you will be happy in life.

Realize what's important to you and don't fall for propaganda. Life is yours and yours alone, it's up to you to decide how you want to live your life.

It's okay to be in imbalance as long as you are happy with your trades (choices) where to spend your time.

For one burner to be strong and powerful - others must always sacrifice their energy in favor of the other.

EVERY CHOICE HAS ITS PRICE
